GSR / % ALPHA

Deep Relaxation

Configuration File: GSR-ALPH

Use Category: BRAIN GSR

GSR/% Alpha combines the GSR mode for relaxation of the autonomic nervous system with

closed eye brainwave relaxation. It is especially good for getting into deep relaxation.

HOOKING UP

Use the GSR/%Alpha configuration to deeply relax.

1. From the FILE menu choose LOAD CONFIGURATION.

2. Select GSR-Alph.CFG.

3. Connect the electrodes as in the diagram. Use the cup electrodes supplied and the ten-

20 paste for the brain electrodes. Make sure that the skin is clean and you have a good

contact. Use no paste with the GSR electrodes.

4. Turn the WaveRider on by clicking the ON

button with your mouse or by using ""Ctrl

O."

5. The brain strip chart should have a clean signal if the electrodes are properly connected.

6. Close your eyes. Relax. Drop your shoulders. Make the notes go lower.

7. The GSR (oboe sound) will react slowly.
